The region

Heading west towards the Loire Atlantique, towards the Guérande Peninsula. At its tip, by the sea, you'll discover the charming little port of Le Croisic. This is where you'll set down your suitcases during your vacation at our 4-star campsite La Pierre Longue.

Gateway to the Breton coast, its historic port, exceptional landscape, and old houses have earned it the title of "Small Town of Character." Nestled between the salt marshes and the ocean, Le Croisic offers a wealth of panoramic views and just as many walks through the narrow streets of its medieval village or along its wild coastline with its beaches and secret coves. Dive into the world's oceans by visiting Le Croisic Oceanarium, one of the largest in France, to discover more than 4,000 marine species. Experience the 100% Croisicaise experience of shore fishing, where young and old have always met to share a friendly moment. Embark from the jetty for a day boat cruise to the Breton islands of Belle-Île, Houat or Hoëdic, or simply cross the channel to reach Pen Bron, the largest dune massif in Loire Atlantique.

Want to explore further?

Head up the coast to the small village of Batz-sur-Mer and beyond to reach the Bay of La Baule, passing through the picturesque port of Le Pouliguen.

Rent a bike directly at the campsite and explore the famous Guérande salt marshes, where more than 280 species of birds roam freely. Then, wander the cobbled streets of the medieval town of Guérande, within the very heart of the ramparts.

Explore the Brière Regional Natural Park by horse-drawn carriage or barge, the second largest marshland in France and a true biosphere reserve of nearly 490 km².

Finally, extend your trip to the Loire estuary, at the port of Saint-Nazaire, to discover the world of legendary ocean liners or step inside a former French submarine.

Whether you're looking for relaxation, adventure, or cultural discoveries, the region around La Pierre Longue campsite promises an unforgettable experience, combining nature and heritage in an idyllic setting.
